A white dinner jacket is one of the most confident choices a groom can make. Surrounded by groomsmen in black tie, it marks him out at a glance, and it has to be cut well to carry it off.
The commission was a wedding tuxedo with a white jacket, finished with patent leather shoes to match. The brief was classic evening dress, cut to his own measurements and refined over each fitting.
The Day Itself
Daniel’s summary of the wedding needs very little explanation.
“It was an amazing day from start to finish and the suit made me feel like James Bond!”
Inch Perfect
Asked how the tuxedo felt the first time he put it on, Daniel went straight to the fit and the finish.
“The fit was inch perfect and it felt like superior quality.”
Fitting Around Work
A bespoke commission involves several appointments, and a busy working week does not always leave room for them. What stood out to Daniel was how the consultations were arranged around him.
“Richard always made the consultations very easy. Including booking me in on Fridays when he is usually closed, as this was the only day I was back from work.”

The Small Touches
The details Daniel valued most were personal ones.
“I appreciated the small touches of initials on my bow tie and inside my jacket.”
Initials inside a jacket are seen by almost no one. They are there because the garment was made for one person, and they stay with it long after the wedding day.

In His Words
For anyone considering a commission, Daniel kept his description short.
“Seamless and professional and ultimately a relaxed process.”
“The quality and fit were amazing and I would definitely recommend RN Tailoring.”
