The Journal: Paul’s Bespoke Suit

4 August 2026

Some clients come once. Paul Nagra has come back.

That’s not an uncommon pattern among RN Tailoring clients — a suit commissioned for one occasion, worn again for another, a relationship that deepens with each return. But Paul’s story has a particular shape to it: a cousin’s wedding first, then his own engagement party, and a suit that has performed with equal ease across both.

Two Occasions, One Suit

Paul came to RN Tailoring for the first time with a specific occasion in mind — his cousin’s wedding. The suit delivered. And when his own engagement party arrived, there was no question about where to go.

The occasions themselves carried their own weight.

“The day was incredible. A lot of my guests had never experienced a wedding like that before — let alone an engagement party.”

When a day is that significant, what you wear through it matters. Not because clothing is the point, but because it’s the frame — and a frame that doesn’t fit pulls attention away from what’s inside it.

A Million Dollars

The first wearing of a suit that has been properly made for you tends to settle something. Paul’s account of that moment is brief, and says everything.

“I genuinely felt like a million dollars.”

It’s the kind of phrase that gets used loosely, but in context it means something specific: the feeling of wearing something that was built entirely around you, that requires nothing from you except to put it on, and that gives back exactly the presence and confidence you came for.

That feeling hasn’t diminished with time.

“Feels perfectly made every time I put it on.”

That consistency — the suit returning to the same standard each time it’s worn — is the mark of construction done properly. A well-built garment doesn’t soften or shift. It holds.

Confidence as a Constant

Paul is clear about what the suit does for him beyond the occasions it’s been worn to.

“I feel more confident when wearing the suit.”

It’s a quiet statement, but a meaningful one. Confidence that comes from wearing the right thing isn’t manufactured — it’s the natural result of not having to think about what you’re wearing at all. The suit is correct, so the man wearing it is free to be himself.

The Ease of It All

What stands out most for Paul about the experience isn’t a single moment — it’s a quality that ran through the whole thing.

“How easy Richard made everything.”

That ease is not accidental. It comes from experience — knowing what questions to ask, what decisions to guide, what to suggest before a client thinks to ask for it. The result is a process that feels effortless from the client’s side, even when the work behind it is anything but.

And when small things needed adjusting, Paul didn’t have to carry that.

“All the small touches Richard does — alterations and small changes — I don’t have to stress about them.”

That absence of stress is part of the value. A bespoke commission should not feel like a project the client has to manage. It should feel like something being handled, properly, by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing.

The Recommendation That Says It All

Paul’s summary of the experience is perhaps the most telling kind of endorsement there is.

“I have recommended a few people who have all had the same great experience I have.”

He didn’t just return himself. He sent others. And they came back with the same response.

That chain of trust — client to client, occasion to occasion — is how RN Tailoring has built its reputation. Not through advertising, but through suits that do what they’re supposed to, and an experience that makes people want to talk about it.
